How Depressants Work

Depressants attach to the surface of unwanted minerals, preventing collectors from making them hydrophobic.

The treated minerals remain in the slurry, while target minerals attach to air bubbles and rise to the froth.

By suppressing gangue or unwanted minerals, depressants enhance the purity and grade of the recovered concentrate.
