Together For Sustainability

Together for Sustainability (TfS) is a global, chemical industry-driven initiative that was founded in 2011 by several leading chemical companies (including BASF, Bayer, Evonik, Henkel, and Lanxess).

Its main goal is to improve sustainability practices within the chemical supply chain by setting common standards for:

  • Supplier assessments (evaluating environmental, social, and governance/ESG performance)
  • On-site audits (checking compliance with sustainability criteria)
  • Capacity building (training and supporting suppliers to improve their sustainability performance)

Key Points about TfS:

  • It is based on principles of the United Nations Global Compact and Responsible Care.
  • Suppliers are evaluated on criteria such as environment, health & safety, labor & human rights, management systems, and business ethics.
  • Results are shared among all TfS member companies, avoiding duplication of audits/assessments and reducing costs for suppliers.
  • Today, TfS has grown into a global organization with dozens of member companies representing a large portion of the worldwide chemical industry’s purchasing power.

Prasol scored 93% in the assessment demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.
