Synonyms: Hexahydro-1,3,5-tris-(-2-hydroxyethyl)-s-triazine

It is a formaldehyde-releasing biocide widely used for microbial control in industrial systems. It contains a hexahydro-s-triazine ring substituted with three 2-hydroxyethyl groups, which give it good water solubility.

It appears as a light yellow liquid.
